This is my 18th year of teaching at Union Twp School. I received my bachelor's degree from Saint Joseph's University in both Elementary and Special Education. In 2007, I earned a master's degree in Education and Instruction. In 2015, I received Teacher of the Year at UTMS. I am highly qualified in Math, Language Arts and Social Studies. In 2020, I received my certification in Children's Yoga and Mindfulness.
I taught 4th grade resource room for 4 years and moved to the middle school to teach 5th grade resource room for 2 years. For 9 years following that, I had the pleasure of teaching 5th and 6th grade general education Math. This school year is my 3rd year returning to the resource room to teach 5th & 6th grade OCR Math. I will be joining Mr. Fritsche and Mrs. Pryor as their in-class support teacher for 6th and 7th grade LA. I am also the Advisor of Yoga Club with Mrs. Wingler.
I enjoy spending time with my amazing family; my husband, John, our twelve year old daughter, Adriana, and our son, CJ, who is eight years old. I feel very lucky to have two amazing kids, who keep me smiling and always make me laugh. We also have five rescue dogs, Casey, Brownie, Romeo, Pepper and Pip. All 5 are very sweet, love to snuggle and sit on your lap. Brownie and Pepper are both 3 legged rescues and hold a special place in my heart because of their rescue stories.
I enjoy listening to my daughter play the flute, sing and help foster rescue dogs. My son and I play basketball and baseball on a daily basis and like to swim in the summer. Cape May is our favorite place to visit as we all love the beach and like walking around the town of Cape May. As a family, we love cheering for the NY Giants and NY Yankees. In my free time, I enjoy doing Yoga, cooking, going for walks and laying in the sun with a good book. I completed my 200 Hour Yoga Teacher training in the fall of 2020 and am a Yoga Alliance Certified Yoga Instructor. I can now teach Yoga to all ages and share my passion for Yoga with others. I also work for a local animal rescue where my daughter and I foster dogs and help them find new forever homes.
