CO-ED SOCCER INFORMATION
Students in grades 6-8 are eligible to participate in sports. Paperwork is due to the UTMS nurse. Students may NOT participate in tryouts/practices until the district doctor has received and approved all paperwork. If paperwork is not in by tryout time, it will affect the student's ability to try out and make the team.
Please note that the sports physical forms have changed for the 2024 Fall season! All the necessary forms are linked below.
Letter to Student Athletes & Parents/Guardians (start here for an overview of the paperwork)
6th-8th graders who are medically cleared by the School Nurse / District Doctor may try out.My philosophy is to have players develop their technical and tactical soccer skills, improve physically and mentally, and develop characteristics such as communication, leadership, fairness, mental toughness, and team unity.
Although we have a variety of players with different prior experiences, our goal is for every player to enjoy themselves and learn something new. I am excited to be a part of their soccer journey!
Please note: Your role will be continually evaluated and may change based on your improvement, as well as your teammates' performance and attendance. Depending on the circumstances (i.e., play-offs), there may be games with little time or a lot of time to play. My goal is to get every player on the pitch for every game they are rostered.
You can meet with me anytime to discuss your role and areas for improvement.
